Evelyn Faye Lewis was born December 19, 1953. She was born to William Lee Brooks Sr. and Mary “Lillie” Brooks. She gained her heavenly wings on April 20, 2022. She chose not to let her illness define her, stayed steadfast in her faith until the very end and slipped away peacefully with her son by her side. She was known by many by Faye.

Faye was raised in Henrico County, where she attended Henrico Public Schools. She graduated from J. R Tucker High School. Faye accepted Christ at an early age at the Abner Baptist Church. She loved her church family and remained a faithful member until her death. Over the years she served as a member of the Women’s Ministry, Hospitality Committee and various choirs. She was always willing to serve for the Lord.

She was well known for many attributes. She worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for many years were she later retired. She loved cooking, traveling, shopping, bowling and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her famous dishes, potato salad, spaghetti and her casseroles. She was sure to have you laughing whenever you saw her or even spoke with her.

Faye is preceded in death by her father William Lee Brooks Sr.

She is survived by her mother Mary “Lillie” Brooks; one son, Ralph Lewis Jr. (Tracie); six devoted siblings, Annette Harris (Howard), Brenda Coleman, Rosa “Tee” Miller, Theresa Brooks, William Brooks Jr.
(Kimberly), sister/bestfriend Shelly Dunaway (Gregory); three grand-children, Alajauan Lewis, Jearrin Lewis, Diamond Lewis; host of nieces and nephews; a devoted niece/daughter, Ba’keya Moore (Jermane); six aunts; three uncles; devoted loved ones Rosa Huggins, Ronald Jackson, Myrl Jones; and many other family and friends that she loved and cherished.
