Words are inadequate to express my sympathy at the passing of your wife and mother . Evelyn and I worked together for many years in Caroline County Public Schools as teachers and administrators. She was a passionate educator and a valued colleague. She had an infectious smile and personality. I valued her instinct and positive attitude during challenging times. As difficult as this time is for family and friends, please know that she has given her all to you and has gone on to take her rest. May you find comfort in your memories and know that she is at peace. I am praying for you all.

May God strengthen and comfort you at this most difficult time. The pain of the loss of a loved one runs deeply, but know that God makes no mistakes. It may seem impossible to understand this now, but trust that God will never leave nor forsake you. Hold on to His unchanging hand. You are in my prayers.

To the family, I may not be able to be there physically, but the love for all of you will always stand beside you. I thank God for blessing me to have shared so much laughter and love with Tiny and the family for so many years. Nobody could crack a joke like Tiny! She will be so greatly missed. May God hold, strengthen, and keep you all through this time. Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Praying God’s peace for you all.

What a loss for the community! Evelyn “Tiny” Childs was the woman God used to shape me into the special education teacher I am today! She instilled in me to advocate for our children no matter what and at all cost! I will always remember our times in church services and our trips to women’s conferences. My sincerest condolences to all, especially Harvey and her children. Her family meant “everything” to her. Prayers for comfort and peace. God will see you through! Mrs. Deborah Johnson (Morgan)-BGES, CMS and RPS

To Mrs. Childs family. I was so shocked and sorry to learn of your wife and beloved mother’s passing. Mrs. Childs was one of a kind. I worked with her as her paro the last year I was at B. G. E and I can truly say she was one of the best. She became a very good friend to me. She was all about helping each child be the very best they could be. Mrs Childs loved her family to no end, she was always talking about her children and the vacations you all went on and the things you did together. May you find peace in all the beautiful memories each of you shared. Another one of God’s angels has earned her wings. Thank you Evelyn Childs for all you taught me and your kindness. Louise J.
