“Mount Olive Baptist Church Stafford, VA

Elnora L. Ellis Poole was born to the late French W. Ellis Sr. and Frances Mae Ball Ellis on April 1, 1941 in Fredericksburg, VA.

She was educated in the Fredericksburg School System attending Walker Grant High School. She joined in holy matrimony to Clifton Poole whom she later divorced. Of this union, there were two children born, Clifton “Peanut” Poole and Eleanor “Sudie” Poole Johnson. Both of her children predeceased her as well as her other brothers and sisters. She was reared early in the Mt Zion Baptist Church, Fredericksburg and continued her membership into adulthood. Later in life, she transferred her membership to Mt Olive Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her health began to fail. She worked in numerous positions in the restaurant industry before she became disabled and retired.

She was a very caring, loving, and giving person. She always looked out for the good of others. She also could give you a good joke and keep you laughing. She loved her family and did not hesitate to talk to a stranger in her travels.

She leaves to mourn: one sister, Dorothy Washington; one brother-in-law, Charles Washington, Sr., of Fredericksburg, VA; a granddaughter, Bianca Johnson-Stanley (Brian) who served as her Caregiver, a grandson, Anthony Johnson (Tonya),
10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, an adopted daughter, Leah Conley, a lifetime friend, Beverly Brown, a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family whom she loved dearly.
