Della Reese Anderson also known as “Reesie” was born on September 7, 1964, in Richmond, Virginia to the late Randolph and Joyce Mae Anderson. She departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
 
Reesie graduated from King William High School in King William, VA, and continued her education at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Providence Baptist Church. Reesie was a very active member of the church. She was a long-standing member of the Gospel Ensemble Choir for over twenty-five years. She served many years on the Usher Ministry and for the last two years, she held the position of Vice President. She was a member of the Missionary Ministry, had worked with the youth department, and the Revival committee. Reesie was an Associate Member of the Star Cruisers Motorcycle Club.
 
Reesie loved flowers and she would spend hours working in her yard and attending her flower beds.
 
Reesie worked as a Technician Specialist with Verizon which spanned over 20 years and 12 years with Velocity Telecom.
 
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one sister, Maria Annette Anderson; six brothers; James (Shyrel), John, Charles (Ellen), Robert, Earl (Johnita), and Carlton Holmes (Ellen). One Great Aunt, Catherleen White of Washington, DC. Three aunts; Lillie Williams (Richard) of South Carolina, Geraldine Martin of New Jersey, and Diane Henderson (Tom) of Virginia. One uncle, Russell Anderson of Virginia. Four godchildren; Sean White, Patrice Narh, Diamond Wilson, and Bruce Wilson, Jr. Two sister cousins, Rose Stokes and Phyllis Vessels, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
