David O’Brien Boxley, 64, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 after being in a fatal automobile accident. He was born on August 2, 1957 and attended Stafford County public schools. He later attended TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA where he received his High School Diploma. David worked for many years as a newspaper carrier alongside his companion of 25 years Margaret White. After Margaret became ill, David stayed by her side and became her caretaker.

He enjoyed watching good movies, football, going to yard sales, and spending time with family and friends. He was the youngest of eight children- the baby of the family, so he always had someone to watch over him. You could count on David to share an entertaining story and get a laugh from his hilarious sense of humor.

David was preceded in death by his parents Elder L. and Lois M. Boxley; four brothers: Warren, Robert, William, and Richard Boxley; his niece Valerie Boxley and his nephew Warren Carter; and his companion of 25 years, Margaret White, who passed ten days before him.

David will be missed by all who knew him. His family and friends are shocked and deeply saddened by his loss. He leaves to cherish his memory two children: Julia S. Washington of Stafford, VA and David “Brien” Washington of King George, VA; two stepchildren: Samuel White and Shantae Osborne; one sister Barbara (Ralph) Woody of Woodbridge, VA; two brothers Clarence Boxley of Stafford, VA and Vivian (Darlene) Boxley of Spotsylvania, VA; nine grandchildren: Easton Brooks, Trevor Washington, Gianna Washington, Kayla White, Cameron White, Emma White, Jayden Osborne, Chloe White, and Ava Osborne; three aunts Estelle Strothers, Lorraine Alsop both of Stafford, VA and Willa Mae White of Fredericksburg, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
