Clementine Marie Wilkerson, 78, of King William, Virginia entered into eternal rest on Monday September 7, 2020. She was born to the late Matline Wilkerson on February 3, 1942. Clementine was preceded in death by her sister Annette Wilkerson. She was affectionately known as “Ree” by all that knew her.

At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined the Oak Grove Baptist Church in King William, Virginia. She served as the church custodian for many years. She also worked for Richmond Auto Court for many years. In her recent years, she was known to be the boss to many at the Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She enjoyed herself a hot cup of coffee and good music, but most importantly, she loved and enjoyed her family. She was sure to always give us a good laugh. She was also known as the community beautician. No one will ever be able to press and curl like her!
By nature, mothers are nurturers and she was a true nurturer to her children and grandchildren. She did not only spoil her children and grandchildren, but everyone else’s children that she looked after. You could leave your kids with her and know that they were safe, well-disciplined and fully fed. She had a heart of gold and was willing to give anyone whatever she had, if that meant she went without.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Four devoted children: Steve Wilkerson Sr., Lamair Wilkerson, Pamela Wilkerson-Green and Larissa Wilkerson. Four devoted grandchildren: Shemeka Lee, Steve Wilkerson Jr., Preston Lee Jr., and Shamyra Hoggard-Wilkerson. Five great grandchildren: Nyla Wilkerson, Ziyon Jennings, Layla Wilkerson, Zayshaun Jennings and Josiah Wilkerson. One devoted brother: Russell Wilkerson (Phyllis). One devoted sister: Edith Morrow. One devoted aunt: Gladys Dabney. Two devoted nieces: Lorraine M. Harris and Johnella Morrow. Two great nieces: Chelsy and Háli Harris. One great nephew: Joshua Harris. And a host of relatives and friends. Devoted cousins: Julia Wilkerson-Johnson (Marvin), Monique Brown, Larry Trueheart Jr (Sherra), Vivian Roane. Devoted friend: David Johnson. Devoted nurse and cousin: India Thornton.

A special thanks to the staff at Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their love and care, especially her special friend and partner in crime: Felicia Johnson.
