Claudette Martin-Cupid well known as Biggy was born on March 31, 1942 in Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines. She was the daughter of Bovell Martin and Almina Aponte(Boyea), niece of Leo Martin, Mervyn Martin, Cynthia Stapleton, Geraldine Martin-Ross, all deceased, husband of Darnley Cupid, mother of Jillan Patty Ali(sp. Tony), Barry(sp. Jimese) and Bjorn Cupid, sister of Christian Ivor Martin(deceased), Merle Wiseman, Leon, Michael, Delores and Anthony Leslie, grandmother of Anastasia Ali. Claudette was a cousin of the Stapleton, Martin, Boyea, King and Jack families. Claudette was also a friend of many.

Claudette had a strong and determined mindset that made her a great person. Fashionable, loving, caring, brilliant there are not enough words to describe her. While she achieved many professional and academic accomplishments, while traveling on several different continents. She always made time for her family. She loved being surrounded by family and friends and also chatting with the ones spread out around the world. Claudette was also a devoted member of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines nurses association.
