Catherine Ann Myers, aged 47, was the youngest daughter of Earnest Mitchell Ellis and the late Mable Ellis. She was born on August 17, 1973 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Catherine was continuously showered each day, with her family and friends by her side, displaying their tremendous love and support up until her passing. The Lord finally called her home to eternal rest in His divine kingdom of heaven on May 18, 2021 in Florence, South Carolina.
Catherine graduated from the Fredericksburg City Public Schools. She accepted Christ into her heart at an early age while attending the First Baptist Church of Love with her family. She later joined the First Baptist Church of Love Choir to demonstrate her love of singing and praising to the Lord. Catherine was a kind-hearted, strong, selfless, and humble woman who cherished everyone she encountered. Every time you were in her presence, she always held a bright smile on her face. In her spare time, Catherine thoroughly enjoyed karaoke, telling jokes, spending time with close family and friends, traveling, reading, and playing games on her phone.
Catherine was an incredible daughter, aunt, niece, cousin, mother and friend. She always set aside her needs in order to give her family the best that she could offer. Catherine was the sweetest and most sincere woman who always made a lasting impact on everyone she came across. She will be remembered as the best mother her three children could ever ask for. God truly blessed them with such a nurturing and supportive gem of a woman, made in His image. She will forever live in everyone’s hearts of whom she had the pleasure of meeting.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mable Ellis; sister, Monica Mills; four aunts: Lois Roy, Jean Wheeler, Bernice Parish, and Lucille Chamberlain; and four uncles: Purcell Ellis, Tom Mills, James Mills, and Ray Mills.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her father, Earnest Ellis of Mullins, South Carolina; brother Preston Mills (Donna) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; three children: Brandon Mills of Mullins, South Carolina, Tieasha Mills of Gambrills, Maryland, and Brandi Mills of Mullins, South Carolina; two grandchildren: Armijah and Jamari; one great aunt, Ada Harris of Shumansville, Virginia; four aunts: Pauline Lomax, Roberta Cook, and Joanne Lewis of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Vera Mills of Partlow, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
