Carroll Wayne “Cap” Taylor Sr. was born on Tuesday, March 9, 1954. From a young age, he developed a deep passion for carpentry, inspired by watching his father build homes and structures that still stand as timeless testaments to his craftsmanship. Throughout his life, Carroll meticulously planned and constructed his own enduring creations, reflecting his dedication to quality and artistry.

An industrious man, Carroll believed in the value of hard work. He filled his days with purpose, always finding ways to stay busy, yet he never lost sight of what truly mattered—his family. Carroll’s love for his wife and sons was boundless. He embraced every moment with them, imparting lessons of strength, kindness, and faith. He was not only a husband and father but a mentor, guiding his sons to become men of God.

As we gather to honor and remember Carroll, let us celebrate a life well-lived—a life rich in love, dedication, and unwavering faith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Darlene Claiborne Taylor, his Mother Vivian Taylor, his 3 sons, Carroll Wayne Taylor Jr., Cory LaMont Taylor Sr and Devin Claiborne Taylor, 4 grandchildren, Cory LaMont Taylor Jr., Yahaira Madison Taylor, Cesar Chimilio Taylor and William Stoval Taylor, 3 devoted sisters, Gayle Taylor, Ealier Smith, Gwen Taylor-Garland (Mitch), one brother dedicated Bernard L Taylor Jr.(Lyn), and a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.
