Caronisa Elizabeth Sims (Connie) entered eternal rest on May 3, 2023. She was born to the late Rosa Dabney Cornelius and Milton Cornelius. She was known as “Connie” by her family members and friends. Connie was educated in the Hanover County Public School system while living with her grandmother Virginia Dabney and her cousin “Saw” who was more like a brother.

She married the late Charles Clark Sr. and from this union, three sons were born: Charles Clark Jr., Franklin Clark, and Daniel Clark. Her second marriage was to John Sims and the union later ended.

Connie was employed with Allen Pen as a warehouse manager for many years and later as a seamstress with Macy’s and Leggett’s Department Stores; sewing was her passion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother; Virginia Dabney, son; Charles Clark Jr. and devoted cousin Leslie “Saw” Dabney. She leaves to cherish her memories, devoted sons Franklin Clark and Daniel Clark (Ann); grandchildren; Brianna, Franklin Jr., John, Franklin ‘Marco” Richard (Charonda), Darion, Lakita Grant (Duane), Devante, Charlisa, James Saunders (Dana), Jonathan Saunders (Brooke), Andrew Marshall (Kay), and Casey Saunders; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in law Kathy Clark, devoted niece, Velicia Davis, Lifelong friend Ammie Tinsley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
