Carolyn M. Robinson, affectionately known as Beanie, was born May 9, 1971 to Jane L. Robinson Braxton (Hanover, VA) and Johnny Brent (King George, VA). Carolyn departed this life on December 29, 2020 in her home in Richmond, Virginia

Carolyn came bursting into this world as a preemie born weighing in at only 1 lbs. 6 oz. Determined to create her own destiny, she did not wait for the hospital, she was delivered during the car ride.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and family alike. She was a determined firecracker who knew what she wanted, when she wanted it and was going to get it. This perseverance was instilled in Carolyn all of her life.

Carolyn was educated through the Caroline County Public Schools where she was a standout in Track & Field. This led her to join the National Championship team at Christopher Newport University where she majored in psychology.

Carolyn went on to work for Corporate Bank of America until she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009. Because Carolyn was a survivor and the soldier that we all knew her to be, she went on to pursue nursing at South University in Richmond, VA. She was such a go-getter; she even found the time to become a certified nail technician.

Carolyn was proceeded in death by John Robinson (brother); Lawyer Walker (Father); Elvis Braxton (Step-Father); Leroy and Dorothy Robinson (Maternal Grandparents) and Anthony and Rosie Brent (Paternal Grandparents).

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving Mother Jane L. Braxton and Father, Johnny Brent, Sister, Annette Hence (Tim) of Richmond, VA, Brother, Brian Braxton of Ruther Glen, VA, Siblings Rose, Anthony, John Jr. and Lee August Brent of King George, VA.

She loved all of her nieces and nephews, with a special bond with Anetra and Trey Morgan, Tianna Braxton, devoted great-niece, Zaniyah Finger, her God-daughter, Demetra Carter and a host of other family and friends.
