As Thanksgiving rolls in, I think about Brittney’s memorial ride out & vigil from Mechanicsville Trnpk. There isn’t a week that goes by, that she isn’t thought of. A WE lifts life in ride out vigil, to services, to sharing resources. A bitter twist winces upon the needless destruction of quality of life for all those impacted by unabated DV. In the rising of the sun & in its setting, we remember Brittney Peyton. DV is something that can’t be undone but it can be stopped. Gov. Northam became a visible advocate. Bless him. Law enforcement could be too.

Words don’t even begin to say how much this is so unreal to me. Brittany and my daughter Layla grew up together and I can’t believe this is true and happening. Brittany smile was amazing and I will always think of it every time I think of her. You have your wings now Angel so fly high and look down on us. Prayers to Kelly and family and all that need them. R.I.P Brittany J. Peyton we love you.

Baby sister, You’ve always been my best friend in the entire world. I don’t know how we got here, or how I’ll ever move past it. I’m shattered in a million pieces and the one person with the glue isn’t here with me anymore. You were a force, a light, and a masterpiece. I’m going to fight for you everyday.

To Kelley Bridgmon (Brit’s Mother) and all Family Members – Kelley – You were one of my favorite students at the Louisa Middle School and Louisa County High School. One day you got sick at school and I drove you home. You were such a polite and kind young lady. My heart aches for your loss of Brit, and I am praying daily for your family. May God bless each of you. Most sincerely, Minnie Irwin (Former secretary at Louisa Co. High School)
