To the family of Alice Dodson….I take great comfort in knowing you all know the Lord, you all know we all must travel this road and we grieve not not like those who know Him not. We will meet our loved ones in glory one day. One minister said it best…it is like going to the dock to wave goodbye to a loved one (ship representing your loved one) as the ship move from dock, it gets smaller to your eyesight. I like to think that this is when they are fitting themselves in our heart. As they approach the other side they arrive in all their glory and loved ones on the other side are waving them to shore. Ashland will be a little dimmer because an angel who walked among us does so only in our hearts. I will miss the smiles, the stories of her Mother’s Day and birthday gifts, of beautiful hats and suits, always fit for the Queen she was even as she transitioned. Bless you all, allow the God we serve to embrace and comfort you all.
