Clyde was born May 30, 1933 in Hanover County in a place called Wickham. Clyde was the son of the lade Jessle T. and Edith C. Jackson. On April 26, 1958 he was united in marriage to Catherine Ann Richards and from this union three children were born. Clyde received his education in Hanover County through the Wickham school system.
Clyde worked for Flippo Lumber Mill Company in Doswell, Virginia for twenty -nine years. At an early age Clyde accepted Christ and joined Providence Baptist Church. Clyde loved the Lord and loved attending church each Sunday. He attended Providence Baptist Church until his health started to fail. Clyde had a love for gardening. He would plant a huge garden with all kinds of vegetables and he loved to give the vegetables to family and friends.

He would give you money if you needed it, pay for your food, give you a ride and take you places. He never expected anything in return. If you needed help he was always there to help you.
