Mrs. Eliner Mills Ware, affectionately known as “Elna”, “Annie”, and “God Mommie”, was born on November 25, 1962 to Raymond and Carolyn Mills of Doswell, VA. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 with her family at her side.
Eliner graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1981. After graduating she attended Al’s Beauty School in Ashland VA where she earned her cosmetology license; she continued to do hair until 2015 when she began her battle with breast cancer. Aside from doing hair she was also employed by Hanover County for the past 22 years.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jerusalem Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She served as a trustee, treasurer of the Belmont Cemetery, Director of the children’s choir, Teacher of children’s church, member of the Drama Ministry, and choir member of the Voices of Hope, Mass choir, and Gospel Chorus.
Eliner was truly a “people person”, she was a woman who never met a stranger. To know her was to truly love her. She always had a smile, never frowning, and was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed driving the bus, going to yard sales, spending time laughing and joking with family and friends. Eliner also enjoyed working in her yard planting flowers, watching game shows, taking pictures on her camera, and going to Virginia Beach for festivals. She was a dedicated Redskins fan and full of life no matter what she was going through.
She was united in holy matrimony to her devoted husband Lindsey Ware on September 15, 1990, which she leaves precious memories. She leaves to cherish her two children Elynn and Linzel Ware; devoted mother Carolyn A. Mills; one brother Raymond Mills Jr.; one sister Sylvia Reeders; two brothers-in-law, Henry Ware (LaVita) and Tyrone Ware (Leslie); two sisters-in-law, Verlett Wright (Byron) and Donna Ware.
Eliner also leaves to cherish six aunts, Yvonne Rollins, Bessie Mines, Dorothy Fountain, Catherine “Sis” Mills, Ester “Reba” Holmes, and Mary Garnett; two great aunts Celestine Mickens and Pearl Ware; a host of loving nieces, two devoted Keedra Reeders and Gabriel “Tricy” Golden, nephews, cousins, among them devoted cousins, Greta Gamble, Donetta Whitfield, Sandy Mock, Stephanie Rollins, Wanda Farmer, Regina Edwards, and Timmy Mills; numerous friends, among them devoted friends, Zoila Harris, Betty Tyler, Adell Green, and Melinda Spurlock; and two god-daughters Kavantia Mock and Aylaa Golden. Eliner was preceded in death by her sister Mabel Mills and father Raymond Mills Sr.

To Eliner's family.
I'm deeply sadden to learn of her passing. We've been friends for 30 plus years and I can honestly say, that she was a product of what God intended for us all to be. Never a frown, nor unpleasant word but, always a pleasant smile and nothing but, kind words she spoke. She truly earned her wings! It has been a pleasure to have known her and to call her a friend. May your fond memories be your pillow of strength! Eliner, sleep peacefully my friend!
