Lorenzo Samuel Wray



Lorenzo Samuel Wray was born in Washington, D.C. on April 9,1973 to the proud parents of the late Lorenzo Wray and Deloris Wray.

Lorenzo was educated in the District of Columbia public school system. He attended Shepherd Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School, and finished and graduated from Wilson Senior High School. He went on to attend The University of the District of Columbia for three years. After being out of school for some time, he realized the need to continue his education. He enrolled at the UDC Community College where on March 7, 2017 he received his certification as Guest Service Professional, and on April 11, 2017 he received his certification as a Front Desk Representative. He was working on his certification in one of the computer program systems before his death.

Lorenzo was employed by Giant Foods where he was a part time cashier, which allowed him time for school.

Lorenzo is survived by his mother, Deloris Wray, one aunt, Magdlean Poitier, one great aunt Allegra Dudley. He is also survived by his first cousins: Tomica Poitier, Maya Worrill, Shani Warren, Jaymi Keith and Juan Givens. He also leaves behind his extended family, David L. Martin & family, Vivian Henderson & family, Paula Shelton & family, Kathryn Robinson & family and other relatives and friends.
