Jovan Rashad Hayes, affectionately known as “Vonnie Pooh” was born on October 23, 1991 in Richmond, Virginia. He attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized.
Jovan loved to sing in the choir and attended church activities. He attended Henrico Public Schools, while acquiring his CNA medical certificate at Virginia Randolph. He worked at Heritage Oaks as a Clinical Manager for Dyvine Angels. He loved life and he loved people. We will miss his infectious smile and laughter.
He leaves to cherish his memory. His devoted and loving mother Karen Dabney, step-father Ron Dabney and father William Charity step-mother Dorothy Charity, Grandparents: Edward and Anna Hayes, Vernessa and Dexter Dabney, Florence and Welton Charity. His loving sister Chelsea Dabney, Daisia Charity, Mya Charity, DeAndre Charity, and Liam Charity. Host of family and friends: Special friends: Crystal Green, Unique, EJ, Danielle, Barbara, and Porsha. On March 31, 2017, Jovan was called to his eternal resting place, for as we know the word of God tells us to be absent from the body is to be present will the Lord. Jovan’s spirit will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends, who loved him so dearly. Rest easy Jovan until we meet again.

I am so sorry for your loss. We look forward to a time when there will be no more sickness, sorrow, and death. Revelation 21:3-5. In the meantime, I hope you are able to draw a measure of comfort from our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah. 1 Peter 5:7. My sincere condolences.
