Naomi was born to the late John W. Clarke and Mary Jane Greenhow of Stafford County. She was preceded in death by her husband William Carlyle Alsop (Joe). Born and raised in Stafford County, she was one of six girls; and educated in the public schools of Stafford. The Lord was a blessing throughout her life as she was always very active and on the go. Although she never drove, she was always ready and available to go anywhere you would take her.
Naomi accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church, Brooke, VA. where she was a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, member of the Willing Workers Club, Mt. Hope Auxiliary, and a Deaconess.
Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, John H. Clarke, Sr. (Lillian) of Stafford, VA and Anthony E. Clarke, Sr. of Stafford, VA. One sister Lillian Summers of Springfield, VA. Four grandchildren John H. Clarke, Jr. Eric J. Clarke, Sr., Anthony E. Clarke, Jr. (Cynthia) and Alexis Y. Thomas (Rodney) and eight great grand children, Di’Andra M. Mayo, Eric (EJ) Clarke II, Madeline Clarke, Brandon Mason, O’Shea Clarke, DaJohn Clarke, Nikki Thomas, Janelle Thomas, and Ji’Aire Clarke; one great great grandchild Michaela Clarke along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, countless friends, and devoted loved ones.

Lillie, John, Tony, Alexis, I am so sorry for your loss, had no idea she had been ill. She was such a kind and loving person. This has just shocked me. Never did get to take her out for lunch but was glad when I was able to see her in store. Seemed to be our meeting place. Thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends with Love
