Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Deedgar Mallory went from a life of service to others, communications technical expertise, and untiring labor to reward, unexpectedly, on Sunday evening, May 7, 2017 at his home in New Kent County, Virginia.
Kenneth was born March 16, 1971 in Richmond, Virginia to Herbert and Sarah-Jane Mallory.

Kenneth accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 11 years old and was converted and baptized at Bethany Baptist Church, Montpelier, Virginia.
Kenneth attended and graduated from Louisa County High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Administration from Old Dominion University and was currently working to complete his Masters’ degree in Business Management and Administration.

Kenneth served one tour in the United States Navy after enlisting at the age of 18 years old and left the service to his country as an Electronic Technician 3rd Class in Norfolk, Virginia.

Kenneth was united in holy matrimony to Ms. Janie Moresi on April 16, 2011 at their home in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Kenneth made his home in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia until 2012, when he re-located to Quinton (New Kent County), Virginia with his family.
Kenneth has been employed by Cox Communications, Incorporated for over 24 years, after leaving employment at Verizon Telecommunications, for a more lucrative and progressive opportunities. He began his career with Cox Communications as a Technician II-Construction and progressed to Technician III-Construction. He later transferred to the Network side of the company, and became a Central Systems Technician, MTC Technician II and subsequently, was promoted to an MTC Technician III.

Kenneth was extremely active in his community and believed in helping those less fortunate and many other accts of community service. He was an avid golfer. He served as the Treasurer of Miracle Knight Lodge #39, Prince Hall Freemasons, Newport News, Virginia.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife, Mrs. Janie Mallory (Quinton, VA); his children, Kendrek Mallory, Kendall Mallory, Kennedy Mallory, Rachel Moresi and Jhuliana Moresi; his parents, Herbert (Richmond, VA) and Sarah-Jane Mallory (Louisa County, VA); one sister, Kimberly Mallory (North Carolina); one brother, Quinndell Little (Richmond, VA); Grandmother, Mrs. Nancy Winston (Montpelier, VA); Aunts-Alice Smith, Eva Coles, Mamie (Mack) Taniels, Doris Mason, Joyce Lanier, Reverend Gloria Coles, Uncles-Marvin Mallory, Walter “Jake” Trice; Great-Aunt, Mamie “Pat” Johnson; Dearest Cousins-Karen Mallory, Keith Morris, Leroy Mason; a host of sorrowing cousins and other relatives throughout Virginia; heart-broken Masonic brothers, Co-Workers and Classmates (current and former), and many, many close friends.
